  6. This is non-production software that has not been well tested.    As such:

  16.     NOTE: THIS DRIVER IS WRITTEN TO WORK WITH WINDOWS 3.1 ONLY.

  18.     1) Copy the driver to the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
  19.  
  20.     2) Edit SYSTEM.INI:
  21.     a) Remove the line (or comment it out) that reads:
  22.         device=*combuff
  23.  
  24.     b) In its place, add this line:
  25.         device=chcomb.386
  26.  
  27.     3) Exit Windows
  28.  
  29.     4) Restart Windows
  30.  
  31.  
  32. This driver is not expected to have any effect on Windows applications and
  33. is only intended to improve performance of DOS applications.
  34.  
  35. If you have not done so already, you may wish to increase the size of the
  36. VM communications buffer.  For example, for COM1, you would add the
  37. following line to the [386Enh] section of SYSTEM.INI:

  39.     COM1Buffer=10000
  40.  
  41. Larger values have no effect.  See the SYSINI.WRI file in your WINDOWS
  42. directory for more information on this setting.

  47.     by Cherry Hill Software.  No files may be removed from or added to the
  48.     archive.
